Changelog
What we shipped, newest first.

20 September 2026Onboarding that starts with a populated board
A look at our own numbers found that 74% of workspaces had never had a single task created in them. People were landing on an empty flow, and priority scoring, which is the whole point of FlowBoard, is invisible when there is nothing to rank. Three changes follow from that.
Added
- A new workspace arrives with a sample project in it. Thirteen items across a flow, an ideas board and a bugs board, deliberately spread so the ranking is visibly doing something. Clear it in one click when you are ready for your own work.
- Invitation links that work. The accept button in an invitation email now takes you straight into the workspace, creating an account on the way if you need one. It used to point at the marketing homepage and leave you to work the rest out, including that you had to sign up with the exact address that was invited.
- This changelog. Everything dated before today was written by hand to backfill the history. From here they come out of the work items in each release, the same way FlowBoard does it for every team using it.
Changed
- The welcome wizard opens on the thing you came to do. The three explanation screens moved behind a "How It Works" button rather than sitting in front of the product.
Documentation
- Twenty-two new articles, including a complete flow metrics guide covering cycle time, throughput, WIP limits, flow efficiency and forecasting without estimates.

18 September 2026Subtasks over the API, link removal, and a privilege fix
Added
- Subtasks are exposed through the API and the MCP server.
- Task links can be removed, not only added.
Security
- An admin can no longer promote anyone to owner. Role changes of that kind are restricted to an existing owner.
Fixed
- The API reported links as removed that had not come off.
- The MCP server reported a hardcoded version rather than its real one.

15 September 2026Delegate filter, a solo landing page, and flow polish
Added
- Filter tasks by the agent currently holding them, published as MCP server 0.16.0.
- A /solo landing page for one-person teams, and the AI agents page now leads on the roadmap gap.
Fixed
- The task detail panel no longer discards text you have just typed.
- Split tasks on the roadmap are numbered rather than repeating the same number.
- Search no longer hides better matches behind one weak one.
Changed
- A copy pass across the site: em dashes and stiff phrasing removed.
2026.09.13
13 September 2026Agents as first-class actors
Added
- An agent is now its own actor. Work done by an agent is attributed to the agent, while the task stays owned by a human. An agent acting on someone's behalf carries both identities.
- Claim-next-task, so several agents can take work from the same queue without racing each other for it.
- Agent actions are metered per workspace per month.
Documentation
- Eight previously undocumented MCP tools are documented, published as MCP server 0.15.0.

11 September 2026A public roadmap, honest estimates, and workspaces over the API
Added
- Public roadmap. FlowBoard now runs its own roadmap in public, using the feature.
- Editable estimates and team capacity, so a public roadmap says something instead of listing wishes.
- Projects and workspaces can be managed over the API and MCP, taking the MCP server to 32 tools.
- Work can be refused on an un-reviewed idea, rather than the rule being a polite suggestion.
Fixed
- Duplicate task numbers could be minted under concurrent creation, and the resolution then guessed between them.
- Recently created tasks were rendering as 1970 over the API and MCP.

10 September 2026New landing page, real screenshots, and pages crawlers can read
Changed
- The landing page leads with flat pricing and AI agents, and adds a comparison table and a live priority-scoring demo.
- Hero screenshots replaced with the current product rather than an older build.
- Screenshots added across the academy and the article library.
Fixed
- Article pages are prerendered at build time. They had been relying on server rendering that was never deployed, which meant every crawler without JavaScript got an empty shell.
- Sitemap
lastmodnow matches each article's actual updated date.

8 September 2026An AI product owner that reviews ideas
Added
- Idea review over the API and MCP. An agent can read every idea, hunt for duplicates, score it against your workspace rubric and recommend accept, reject or rework. It stops there and waits for a human to confirm.
- Task scoring as its own endpoint, with the reasoning written back as an audit comment.
- A workspace schema endpoint, so an agent can discover your custom fields instead of guessing at them.
- Free-text search and sort options on the task listing endpoint.
- Scoring inputs can be supplied at creation time rather than in a second call.
- A dedicated
canReviewIdeasAPI key scope, review prompts and a rubric resource in the MCP server.
2026.09.07
7 September 2026Video attachments, and a test suite that actually runs
Added
- Video attachments are properly usable rather than nominally supported.
Fixed
- Subtask counters drifting out of sync now get reconciled weekly rather than staying wrong.
- The priority formula parser handles multi-argument function calls, so more expressive formulas work.
2026.09.03
3 September 2026Invoices, local search, and deep links that stay open
Added
- Invoices listed month by month in billing, each one downloadable.
- Typesense now runs locally against the emulators, so list pages behave in development the way they do in production.
Fixed
- Opening a task by deep link no longer closes itself when the list store refreshes underneath it.
Behind the scenes
- A real CI pipeline: build, unit tests, functions tests and Playwright end-to-end against the emulators, all blocking.
2026.08.31
31 August 2026Bulk edit, subtasks, My Work, and outbound webhooks
Added
- Bulk edit from the selection bar in Flow, Bugs and Ideas. Change status, assignee, tags or priority inputs across many items at once instead of one at a time.
- Subtasks, one level deep, with a section in the detail panel and a progress chip on the parent in the flow list. Deliberately one level: nested trees are how a backlog becomes a filing cabinet.
- My Work, a personal queue across every project you belong to. Project boards answer what is happening in this project; they rarely answer what needs me.
- Outbound webhooks, so events can reach Zapier, Make or anything that accepts an HTTP POST.
- A release task list can now be filtered down to just the QA failures.
Fixed
- Multi-factor sign-in could get stuck on workspace setup, and did not go through the shared post-sign-in handler.
- Notifications were being written to a phantom user document rather than the real account.
- Email unsubscribe is now durable, and auto-pause preferences persist properly.
- Weekly digest notification switches that did nothing have been removed.
